Paris, Day 2: The Eiffel Tower

As I walked around Paris, the Eiffel Tower beckoned me like a lighthouse. I set out to find her just by looking out for her as her top rose above trees and buildings.

I didn’t need a map. I just kept cutting across streets that would bring me closer.

After a while, I realized I’d cover more territory by bus than on foot.

I’d get closer, much closer.

    I love your description of the Eiffel Tower as a lighthouse. It’s one of my favorite perpetual touchstones in the City of Life ā€” and one of the things I most miss on the horizon every time I leave Paris.

      It is an awesome sight. Living in NY and having done some traveling, I’ve been exposed to a lot of awe inspiring sights. The Eiffel Tower was definitely awesome. I still think about it. It’s even more impressive when you see it up close and see the workmanship. You really appreciate the vision of M. Eiffel. I can see why it one of your favorites.
